Special shout-out to JL and Anna for these May Day muguets!May 1st is Labor Day in France, which means pretty much nothing is open. But it's also a tradition for people to sell tiny bouquets of these flowers (called muguet or "lily of the valley") on the street, which you're supposed to give to friends and family. Kind of neat.
also,the holiday and flowers apparently have to do with the communist party?? I wasnt completely listening, but I think thats what Alex told me.
